The Finance Manager plays a critical role in any organization and is responsible for managing the financial health of the company. This position requires meticulous attention to detail as well as the ability to be analytical and forward-thinking. Financial planning, managing risks, creating financial reports, and providing guidance on investment activities form the crux of the role. As a Finance Manager, you will lead a team of finance professionals and work closely with senior management to drive strategic planning and decision-making processes. Your expertise in budgeting and financial analysis will be crucial in ensuring that the organization meets its financial objectives and operates within financial constraints. A key aspect of the position is to provide insights and recommendations that enhance the company’s financial performance, guided by financial data and trends. In addition to managing all the financial functions, you will ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning and budgeting processes across the organization.
• Manage and refine financial management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed recommendations.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process for all departments within the company.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance and cash flow.
• Collaborate with auditors and oversee annual audits and other fiscal reporting activities.
• Monitor and control the cash management functions, including investments and borrowings.
• Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential financial losses.
• Support decision-making processes by providing financial insights to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management roles, with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of financial management and accounting principles and standards.
• Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Professional financial certification such as CPA, CFA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
