Job Description

The Finance Assistant is an integral part of our dynamic finance team, responsible for providing support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling confidential information with utmost discretion. In this role, the Finance Assistant will collaborate with other team members to maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and prepare reports. This position requires a proactive individual who can efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy. The Finance Assistant will contribute significantly to the financial efficiency of the organization by ensuring accounts are up-to-date and data is processed accurately, all while complying with financial regulations and policies.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts for review.
  • Process and record accounting transactions in accordance with the company's policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements by comparing them with the general ledger.
  • Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable to maintain smooth financial operations.
  • Review and verify expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare accounting reports and financial statements for various stakeholders.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes and financial reviews.
  • Maintain updated and accurate accounting records and files for reference.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support during audits and financial reviews.
  • Help draft financial reports and documentation for internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with financial accounting software and ledger management systems.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information with integrity and discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial data analysis.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively work with finance team members and stakeholders.
