Job Description

The position of Factory Manager is a crucial role within any manufacturing unit, requiring adept leadership skills, operational excellence, and strategic planning. The Factory Manager oversees all aspects of factory operations, ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely production of high-quality products. This role encompasses the supervision of production processes, coordinating and directing manufacturing activities, managing workforce productivity, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The Factory Manager plays a vital role in streamlining operational efficiencies, minimizing waste, and enhancing production methodologies to meet both short-term performance goals and long-term company objectives. A successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, technical acumen in manufacturing processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement and innovation.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure timely and cost-efficient manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes and increase output.
  • Maintain quality standards by enforcing factory policies and workplace compliance.
  • Supervise and inspire a team of skilled workers to achieve company goals and targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate supply chain logistics to prevent shortages or delays.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
  • Set and manage production budgets, aiming to reduce operational costs and increase profitability.
  • Analyze production data and prepare detailed reports for use in management decision-making.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to implement new technology and automation solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between upper management and factory personnel, communicating goals effectively.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions to improve team performance and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial production environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving performance.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach to operational challenges.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements in a factory setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and reporting tools.
