Editor Finance Middle East

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Editor to lead the editorial direction of Finance Middle East, the region’s authoritative voice on banking, investments, fintech, markets, and corporate finance. This role demands deep expertise in the financial sector, a sharp editorial instinct, and a well-established network of industry contacts across the Middle East and beyond.

As Editor, you will shape the content strategy, commission and edit compelling features and analysis, and ensure the brand remains ahead of the curve across print, digital, and social platforms. You will work closely with writers, contributors, designers, and commercial teams to deliver high-quality journalism that engages senior professionals, investors, and decision-makers in the financial world.

This is a senior editorial position for someone who lives and breathes finance—and understands how to turn complex subjects into clear, impactful stories.

• Editorial Leadership: Set the editorial agenda for Finance Middle East, ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact, insightful, and well-researched content.
  
• Content Strategy: Develop and oversee content plans across print, digital, video, and social, aligning with commercial goals and audience needs.
  
• Industry Coverage: Drive comprehensive coverage of finance-related topics including banking, fintech, markets, policy, and capital markets.
  
• Network Building: Maintain and grow strong relationships with key players in the finance industry, including CEOs, CFOs, regulators, analysts, and investors.
  
• Contributor Management: Work with freelance writers, analysts, and contributors to commission standout content and expert commentary.
  
• Event Participation: Represent the brand at regional and international finance events, chairing panels, conducting high-level interviews, and producing thought leadership pieces.
  
• Editorial Excellence: Ensure the highest standards of journalistic integrity, fact-checking, and quality across all outputs.
  
• Analytics & SEO: Use performance data to inform editorial decisions and optimize digital content for reach and engagement.
  
• Collaboration: Work alongside commercial and marketing teams to support sponsored content, branded projects, and audience development initiatives.
  
  
  

Key Requirements:

• Finance Expertise: Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate finance, fintech, regulation, and regional economic trends.
  
• Industry Contacts: A well-established network of finance professionals and thought leaders in the MENA region.
  
• Proven Editorial Experience: 5+ years in editorial roles within finance or business media, with at least 2 years in a senior position.
  
• Writing and Editing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and headline skills, with a knack for simplifying complex subjects.
  
• Digital Acumen: Proficiency in digital publishing, CMS tools, SEO, and social media content distribution.
  
• Audience Focus: Ability to craft content that speaks to senior-level finance professionals and decision-makers.
  
• Organized and Deadline-Driven: Strong project management skills and ability to oversee multiple content streams simultaneously.
  
• Event Experience: Comfortable moderating panels and conducting on-stage interviews with high-profile figures.
