Job Description
We are currently seeking a highly trained and experienced Consultant Physical Medicine with Neuro-Rehabilitation Experience to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and neurology, with a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
Role Responsibilities
As a Consultant Physical Medicine with Neuro-Rehabilitation Experience, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients with physical disabilities and musculoskeletal conditions, as well as those with neurological disorders. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans, provide therapies and medications, and monitor progress. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough assessments of patients' medical history, symptoms, and physical functioning
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, X-rays, and nerve conduction studies
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Prescribing and administering medications, injections, and other therapeutic interventions
- Educating patients and their families about their condition and treatment options
- Documenting all patient interactions and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner
- Keeping up to date with advancements in physical medicine, rehabilitation, and neurology and incorporating new techniques and treatments into practice
- Maintaining professional and ethical standards in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution
- Must be Western-trained, with experience in leading healthcare environments.
- Completion of residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- Additional training or specialization in neuro-rehabilitation is highly preferred
- Valid medical license to practice in Abu Dhabi
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting
