Job Description

The Construction Manager plays a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of the construction projects from start to finish. This professional is responsible for ensuring all construction activities adhere to predetermined schedules, budgets, and quality standards. They are the point of contact for construction personnel and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective problem-solving throughout the project's life cycle. The Construction Manager also ensures compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other relevant professionals to deliver high-quality results. This position requires excellent leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and adapt to dynamic work environments.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to ensure the project's goals are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations at all construction sites.
  • Manage the construction budget, controlling costs and ensuring profitability.
  • Resolve issues related to design, material deliveries, and equipment coordination.
  • Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff, subcontractors, and onsite workers.
  • Prepare status reports, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions.
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders, updating them on project progress.
  • Coordinate logistics for materials, equipment, and workforce assignments.
  • Implement quality control programs to ensure high-quality construction outcomes.
  • Lead project meetings, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required.
  • At least five years of construction management experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
