Carpenter (Exhibition Event Industry)

As a Carpenter in the Exhibition/Event Industry, you will be responsible for creating and constructing various structures, displays, and installations that are integral to the overall event experience. Your primary duties will include interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials to precise specifications, assembling and installing temporary structures, and ensuring that the final products are not only structurally sound but visually appealing as well. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with event planners, designers, and other team members to bring their visions to life in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in carpentry within the exhibition or event industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct and install exhibition/event structures, stands, and displays according to design specifications.
• Assemble and dismantle temporary structures efficiently and within specified timelines.
• Collaborate with designers and project managers to understand project requirements and provide input on construction feasibility.
• Select appropriate materials and tools for each project, considering budget and design requirements.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship and timely completion of projects to meet deadlines.
• Safely operate hand and power tools, as well as heavy machinery, to carry out construction tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials.
• Follow industry safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions to construction challenges that may arise during projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
