Buyer

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the company, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. The role involves supplier management, order tracking, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. A successful Buyer combines strategic thinking with excellent negotiation and analytical skills to support the organization’s procurement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and source suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.

• Create and manage purchase orders in line with demand forecasts.

• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to delivery or quality.

• Collaborate with internal departments to clarify purchasing requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier contracts.

• Monitor market trends and supplier industry developments.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

• Optimize inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excesses.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term value.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in a relevant industry.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Understanding of inventory management and logistics principles.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of local and international sourcing is a plus.
