Job Description

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations and management of the dining establishment. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you will ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently, maintaining high standards of food and service quality, and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve overseeing staff performance, inventory, customer interactions, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, with a passion for the hospitality industry and a desire to provide excellent customer service. Your proactive approach to resolving issues and enthusiasm for training and developing staff will contribute to the restaurant's overall success.


Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and management of the restaurant.
  • Ensure high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Supervise and train restaurant staff to enhance their performance and skills.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and managing stock.
  • Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant premises.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and manage time-off requests effectively.
  • Oversee cash management and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure food quality and presentation meets standards.
  • Develop promotional strategies to increase customer engagement and sales.
  • Monitor restaurant's operational needs, including cleanliness and maintenance issues.
  • Lead by example to motivate staff and cultivate a positive work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
