Job Description

As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the management of financial operations within our organization. Your expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and planning will directly contribute to strategic decision-making processes and financial health. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support in developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and generating insightful financial reports. Your role demands a keen eye for detail, thorough knowledge of financial principles, and the ability to work within tight deadlines. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and requires a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing comprehensive financial reports and performance analysis for management review.
  • Coordinate the budgeting process including preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Support in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions for accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and legal requirements at all times.
  • Collaborate with auditors to facilitate annual audits and implement recommendations.
  • Contribute to financial planning and strategic initiatives of the organization.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Provide guidance and support to finance staff and other departments as needed.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related financial reconciliations.
  • Oversee financial data entry and maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Participate in financial systems improvements to enhance reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial management role.
  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis and budgeting processes is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects effectively.
  • Experience with financial audits and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is considered an advantage.
