Job Description

The Manager – Finance and Accounting plays a critical role in overseeing and directing the financial operations of the organization. This position is responsible for managing complex financial transactions, strategizing on cost savings, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies. The Manager will lead a team of accountants and financial analysts to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both accounting principles and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will be adept at balancing multiple priorities and providing insights that drive informed business decisions, contributing to the overall financial health and success of the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the financial accounting and reporting processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial systems and processes in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis against actual spending.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve financial efficiency.
  • Oversee team performance and development, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Enhance financial reporting processes and systems for better efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain strong internal controls across all financial activities of the organization.
  • Analyze financial data and provide strategic advice to executive management.
  • Manage taxation issues of the company, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Collaborate with different departments to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA or CFA is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management roles.
  • Proven experience in leadership with a track record of managing teams effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
