We are expanding our digital capabilities across the Middle East. We are seeking an experienced GIS Analyst to join our dynamic team of geospatial professionals. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure projects, including roads, rail, aviation and urban development initiatives.
Role Overview
As a GIS Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in integrating geospatial data and technologies into the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects. You will support the development of spatial databases, perform advanced spatial analysis, and ensure the accuracy and accessibility of geospatial information across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Geospatial Data Management
Develop, manage, and maintain geospatial databases and ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
Implement data standards and metadata protocols in line with ISO 19115, OGC, and client-specific requirements.
Spatial Analysis & Mapping
Perform advanced spatial analysis to support engineering design including topological, proximity, and overlay operations to support planning and decision-making.
Produce high-quality cartographic outputs and thematic maps for internal and external stakeholders.
Integrate and manage utility networks (e.g., water, electricity, telecommunications) and geometric networks to support infrastructure data management.
Convert BIM (Building Information Modelling) and CAD datasets into GIS environments, ensuring spatial accuracy and attribute integrity.
Project Integration
Collaborate with engineers, planners, and BIM teams to integrate GIS into project workflows.
Support the development of digital twins and smart infrastructure solutions using geospatial data.
GIS Strategy & Standards
Contribute to the development of GIS execution plans and ensure alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
Promote the use of GIS standards and tools across the organization.
Software & Tools Management
Utilize and manage GIS software such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, QGIS, FME, and web-based GIS platforms.
Support the integration of GIS with BIM, CAD, and asset management systems.
Quality Assurance & Control
Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure spatial accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
Develop automated QA/QC workflows using Python, Model Builder, or FME.
Training & Support
Provide GIS training and technical support to project teams.
Mentor junior GIS staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Innovation & Research
Stay current with emerging GIS technologies, including AI/ML in geospatial analysis, UAV data processing, and 3D GIS.
Recommend innovative solutions to enhance project delivery and decision-making.
Heres what youll need
Qualifications & Skills
Education Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Geomatics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
Experience Minimum 8–10 years of GIS experience in infrastructure or transportation projects, preferably in a consultancy environment. Middle East experience is desirable.
Technical Proficiency
Strong skills in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Enterprise, QGIS, FME, and Python scripting.
Familiarity with CAD/GIS integration, BIM-GIS workflows, and 3D GIS tools.
Experience with utility network modelling, geometric network configuration, and spatial data infrastructure.
Certifications GISP, ESRI Technical Certifications, or similar credentials are preferred.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
