About the Role:

Zutari is seeking a highly qualified Senior Technical Office Engineer to join our dynamic project team. This role is critical to the successful delivery of a high-profile infrastructure project involving complex bridges and submersed tunnels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce detailed shop drawings on site, aligned with construction sequences and site conditions.
• Coordinate with the design office and various disciplines to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability.
• Develop and produce shop drawings directly on site, in close coordination with the main office team.
• Review all technical submissions including shop drawings from MEP, structural, utility subcontractors, and specialized applicators ensuring full compliance with project specifications.
• Provide real-time feedback and adjustments on site to streamline approval processes and reduce delays.
• Manage and obtain approvals for shop drawing packages from PMC and relevant authorities.
• Collaborate closely with the construction and design teams to maintain seamless communication.
• Review reinforcement details and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) from suppliers and issue confirmations for fabrication
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
• Flag discrepancies and coordinate resolution with consultants, designers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records of submissions, revisions, approvals, and redlines.
• Verify quantities and detailing prior to giving fabrication approvals for steel reinforcement.
• Collaborate closely with construction, planning, and QA/QC teams to ensure work aligns with technical specifications and project schedule.
• Track technical submittals and approvals to prevent any delays to construction activities.
  
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including significant exposure to bridge and tunnel projects, particularly those involving submersed structures.
• Proven background in shop drawing development and technical coordination on-site.
• Prior experience working on major infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC is required.
• Fluent in English with excellent technical communication skills.
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D and Specialized shop drawing software/tools
