Senior DevOps Engineer (225-815)

A Senior DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations within an organization. This position requires a deep understanding of both software development and IT infrastructure. The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for automating and streamlining processes to enhance productivity and reduce the potential for errors. They ensure the seamless integration of new features and reliability across platforms and systems. The engineer works collaboratively with various IT teams to improve the agility and flexibility of IT systems. They are also responsible for managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, overseeing deployment, and automating operational tasks to provide robust, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly scalable, robust, and resilient infrastructures.
• Automate deployment and configuration management using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Collaborate with software developers to design continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Conduct system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains.
• Monitor system performance and network connectivity to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Ensure security, compliance, and protection for data and infrastructure resources.
• Interface with various teams to identify and implement process improvements eco-wide.

• Participate in on-call rotation and manage incident response when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a DevOps role or similar.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is crucial.
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, including Python, Bash, and Java.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools, frameworks, and practices for automation.
• Clear understanding of network protocols, security, and data management practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and can approach projects with a can-do attitude.
