Job Description

We are currently seeking Principal Civil Engineer, reporting directly to Civil - Head of the Department to join our Civil team based in UAE - Abu Dhabi.

• Advanced Knowledge and Experience:
• Mastery in developing site plans, civil layouts, and infrastructure routing studies for complex oil and gas projects.
• Ability to innovate and optimize design processes.
• 3D Environment Expertise:
• Proficient in using advanced 3D modeling tools such as Civil 3D, Revit, or similar software.
• Capable of leading projects in a 3D environment, ensuring precision and efficiency.
• Technical Leadership:
• Provide strategic technical management and oversight to civil engineering teams.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality and technically sound project outcomes.
• Mentorship and Team Development:
• Guide and mentor team members, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance.
• Implement effective work distribution strategies to maximize productivity.
• Coordination with Specialist Engineers:
• Facilitate seamless collaboration with geotechnical, structural, and other specialist engineers.
• Ensure integrated and holistic project solutions.
• Implementation of Project Specifications:
• Oversee the adherence to project specifications, procedures, design requirements, and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance and quality across all civil engineering activities.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination:
• Lead coordination efforts with other disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and piping.
• Promote cohesive and unified project execution.
• Client and Vendor Interaction:
• Engage in high-level meetings with clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Provide expert civil engineering insights and solutions.
• Participation in Project Reviews:
• Actively participate in key project reviews, including site layout reviews, HAZOP, lessons learned workshops, constructability reviews, and design/model review meetings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation.
• Effective Communication:
• Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills.
• Convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Organize 3D Model Reviews:
• Lead periodic internal 3D model reviews.
• Assign responsibilities to designers to ensure project accuracy and efficiency.

About you:

Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering

Languages: English + proficiency level (Basic, Professional, Fluent)

Main skills: Minimum of 20 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 12 years in a lead or area lead engineer capacity.
