Job Description

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of a pharmacy, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the pharmacy team, coordinate with healthcare professionals, and ensure compliance with all regulations. You will be responsible for inventories, customer service, budgeting, and staffing. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a robust knowledge of pharmaceuticals and healthcare policies. Moreover, you will be the face of the pharmacy, representing it in both the community and professional settings, and ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered to all customers.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficiency in all activities.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and service.
  • Manage pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that the pharmacy complies with all federal and state regulations.
  • Implement and maintain pharmaceutical best practices and safety protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely stock replenishment.
  • Develop and manage the pharmacy’s budget to achieve financial objectives.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies for patients.
  • Develop strategic plans to improve and expand pharmacy services and reach.
  • Maintain accurate records for all pharmacy operations, transactions, and patient interactions.
  • Stay updated on new drugs, therapies, and industry trends to enhance pharmacy services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Valid pharmacy license in the state of operation is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a pharmacy setting.
  • Proven managerial experience with solid leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to guide staff and interact with healthcare professionals.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals and healthcare regulations and policies.
  • Proficient in using pharmacy management software and other related applications.
