Job Description

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of our warehouse. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can keep pace in a dynamic and fast-moving environment. You will be responsible for managing inventory, assisting with the loading and unloading of goods, and ensuring that items are stored adequately. In addition, you will be tasked with helping maintain a clean and safe workspace while adhering to all company policies and safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record shipments of incoming stock or products.
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of the inventory management system.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch to customers efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles with care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure effective operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Label, sort, and store items properly in accordance with warehouse protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and report any hazards.
  • Prepare and keep accurate records of products received and shipped.
  • Assist in the implementation of new systems, processes, and strategies for efficient warehousing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required.
  • Previous experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks safely.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and using inventory management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move heavy items as needed during shifts.
