Responsibilities

• Accurately review and dispense prescribed medications to patients, ensuring no errors.
• Provide expert advice on over-the-counter medication and healthcare products.
• Check prescriptions for correct dosage and potential drug interactions or contraindications.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to monitor, document, and improve patient outcomes.
• Effectively communicate with patients about medication usage, side effects, and storage.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical guidelines, treatments, and innovations.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians, interns, and other support staff effectively.
• Keep accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory control.
• Manage pharmacy operations, including financial transactions and regulatory compliance.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, healthy lifestyles, and overall wellness strategies.
• Coordinate immunization programs and provide vaccinations as needed by the community.
• Address and resolve any medication-related inquiries or issues from patients or healthcare providers.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• Valid license to practice pharmacy.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical or retail pharmacy setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with precision and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using pharmacy software and technology for managing patient records.
