Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join our fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the complete logistical aspects of our company operations, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient management of transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes. Your focus will be on optimizing logistical processes to improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of supply chain principles. As a Logistics Specialist, you will collaborate closely with other departments to support our company’s growth and deliver high-quality service to our clients.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement efficient logistical plans and strategies for the company.
  • Monitor and manage the company’s inventory levels and stock control processes.
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule and manage shipments.
  • Oversee the storage and distribution of goods to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Identify and resolve any logistical issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all logistical activities and transactions.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align logistics operations with business objectives.
  • Maintain strong relationships with third-party service providers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits of logistics processes and initiate improvements as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics operations and supply chain management required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are vital for success.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Proficiency with logistics software systems and Microsoft Office Suite needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail are essential.
