Job Description

The position of Logistic Officer is crucial to ensuring that an organization's supply chain operations run smoothly and efficiently. As a Logistic Officer, you will play an integral role in the planning and coordination of logistics activities, managing the flow of goods, information, and other resources. Your role is central to the distribution and transportation of goods from suppliers to consumers or end-users. You will work with internal departments such as purchasing and warehousing, as well as external partners such as transport providers and customs agencies, to coordinate and optimize logistics processes. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to think analytically, and effective communication to liaise across various departments and stakeholders. The Logistic Officer is key to ensuring timely delivery, cost-efficiency, and quality in the logistics operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the logistics operations to ensure smooth process flow.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of logistics plans and strategies.
  • Manage relationships with transport and logistics service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with customs and shipping regulations for all transactions.
  • Supervise the inventory levels and perform regular stock checks to avoid discrepancies.
  • Optimize efficient routes and load planning to reduce transportation costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of logistics operations for auditing and reporting.
  • Handle logistics-related inquiries and resolve issues from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement innovative solutions to improve logistics efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports analyzing logistics performance and provide insights for management.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage the inbound and outbound shipment process.
  • Train, guide, and support logistics team members to enhance performance and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of logistics operations and management principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing complex logistics tasks.
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
