Job Description

A Key Account Sales Executive is a highly pivotal role within the sales team, responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with the organization’s most significant accounts. They serve as the lead point of contact for client matters, anticipate client needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for client requests are met, and help the client succeed using the company’s services or products. The Key Account Sales Executive must possess excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport quickly and effectively with key stakeholders. They are tasked with ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities to expand accounts by offering new solutions and products. They are an integral part of the sales strategy, contributing to business growth by developing sales plans and working collaboratively with other departments to achieve both client and company goals.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts to foster loyalty.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key client inquiries and concerns.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and objectives thoroughly.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions to clients.
  • Prepare regular reports on account status and assess client satisfaction levels.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits and client satisfaction.
  • Identify and grow opportunities within accounts, working closely with the internal team.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction as measured by engagements and feedback.
  • Stay updated with industry changes and market dynamics to provide insights to clients.
  • Present new products and services to enhance business relationships with key clients.
  • Monitor and forecast key account metrics, contributing to sales strategy development.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales team to meet overall company objectives and sales targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Proven experience in sales or account management, working with key accounts.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile clients simultaneously without loss of detail.
  • Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and the ability to drive growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite for efficient reporting.
