Job Description

The Financial Controller is a critical role within the finance department, tasked with ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the company's finance and accounting operations. This position involves overseeing internal controls, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Financial Controller will work closely with senior management to drive financial performance, providing insights and recommendations. This role requires a deep understanding of financial principles, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple financial projects simultaneously. As a strategic partner, the Financial Controller will contribute to the company's financial health by leading financial planning and analysis efforts as well as managing financial risks.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of month-end financial reporting processes.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial controls and procedures for financial operations.
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data, drawing insightful conclusions for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and accounting regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with auditors to ensure successful financial audits are conducted annually.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results and initiating corrective actions.
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
  • Evaluate and implement improvements to the financial processes and systems when necessary.
  • Report financial status by developing forecasts and conducting risk assessments.
  • Support management team with key financial information and operational analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and standards.
  • Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, for effective teamwork.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and financial reporting is essential.
