Job Description

The role of an Exhibition Operation Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution and management of exhibitions from concept through to completion. This position involves meticulous planning, precise logistics coordination, and effective teamwork to deliver successful exhibitions that meet the objectives and expectations of clients and stakeholders. As an Exhibition Operation Manager, you will oversee the scheduling, budget management, vendor contracts, and venue logistics. You will also play a crucial role in troubleshooting and resolving any on-site issues that may arise during the setup, execution, and teardown phases of exhibitions. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all operational aspects of exhibitions run smoothly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all operational aspects of exhibition logistics and execution.
  • Develop and manage detailed exhibition schedules and timelines for successful event delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Monitor and control budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align operational strategies with exhibition goals.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations throughout the exhibition process.
  • Manage on-site setup, execution, and teardown, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct post-exhibition evaluations to identify improvements and document best practices.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff and contractors to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee the logistics arrangements, including transportation, accommodation, and equipment rental.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and success metrics effectively.
  • Utilize data and feedback to improve future exhibition operations and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Event Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in exhibition or event management roles, preferably as a manager.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills are essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills to drive performance and efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Familiarity with operational and logistical aspects of large-scale events and exhibitions.
  • Proficiency in using event management software and tools for planning and execution.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with levity and composure.
  • Detail-oriented mindset to ensure impeccable execution and flawless guest experiences.
