Job Description

The Hotel Cleanliness Expert plays a crucial role in ensuring that every aspect of a hotel's environment is meticulously maintained and reflects a high standard of quality and hygiene. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who is passionate about creating immaculate and welcoming spaces for guests. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for cleanliness and a proactive approach to maintaining all areas of the hotel, from guest rooms to public spaces and even behind-the-scenes areas such as laundry rooms. You will be responsible for implementing and adhering to cleanliness protocols, and for working closely with other hotel staff to achieve a consistently high level of sanitation and guest satisfaction. Your role is not just about cleaning, but also about contributing to a positive guest experience by ensuring that hotel environments are inviting and pristine.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently following hotel standards.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness, maintaining high aesthetic standards.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to report and fix any damages or repair needs.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, requesting additional supplies when necessary.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to provide a safe environment for guests.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning services.
  • Train and mentor new housekeeping staff in hotel cleaning procedures.
  • Collaborate with laundry personnel to ensure timely turnover of linens and towels.
  • Regularly update hotel cleanliness logs and report hygiene levels to supervisors.
  • Implement sustainable cleaning practices to minimize environmental impact.
  • Manage waste disposal efficiently to maintain hotel cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Ensure thorough cleanliness of all public areas, including lobbies and restrooms.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role in a hotel setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
  • Knowledge of cleaning supplies, products, and their safe usage.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
