Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire Alarm Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and lead our maintenance team in ensuring the proper functioning and compliance of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling and delegating tasks, conducting regular inspections and testing, and coordinating repairs and upgrades as needed. The Fire Alarm Maintenance Supervisor will also be responsible for training team members on safety procedures and regulations, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities. Strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire alarm systems to ensure they are in proper working condition and comply with relevant safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and routines to ensure the reliability and functionality of all fire alarm systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment for fire alarm maintenance and repairs.
  • Train and mentor technicians on best practices for fire alarm system maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot issues with fire alarm systems to ensure quick resolution and minimal downtime.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs to maintain accurate documentation of system status and compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to fire alarm systems to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as facility management and security, to address any cross-functional issues related to fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to support their professional development and ensure high-quality workmanship.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of a technical training program in fire alarm systems maintenance
  • Certification in fire alarm systems maintenance (e.g., NFPA certification)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fire alarm systems maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of relevant codes and regulations (e.g., NFPA codes)
