Job Description

An Executive Sous Chef plays a pivotal role in ensuring the culinary excellence and seamless operation of a restaurant or hotel's kitchen. They operate as the second-in-command, right-hand to the Executive Chef, and are responsible for managing the food preparation process, maintaining quality control, and training the kitchen staff. The position demands a blend of creativity, precision, and leadership skills to inspire and motivate team members to deliver outstanding culinary experiences. Possessing a deep understanding of various cooking techniques, the Executive Sous Chef contributes to the development of innovative menus that cater to diverse culinary preferences, while ensuring adherence to safety, cleanliness, and hygiene protocols. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef in designing menu options that satisfy diverse tastes and preferences.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading culinary teams effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to develop and execute sophisticated, innovative, and diverse menus.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with staff and customers.
