Role Overview

The Rig Floorhand will support drilling operations by performing physical tasks on the rig floor, assisting with equipment handling, and maintaining a safe work environment. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of drilling activities through teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety protocols. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions, and a commitment to learning rig operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup and operation of drilling equipment.
• Handle drill pipes, casing, and other materials on the rig floor.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the rig floor and surrounding areas.
• Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment at all times.
• Assist in routine maintenance of rig equipment.
• Support drillers and other crew members in daily operations.
• Report hazards and unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately.
• Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and experienced crew members.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior rig experience required; training will be provided.
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads and work in demanding outdoor environments.
• Willingness to work long shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and operational procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
