We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering
In this role you will:
Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle, utilizing their skills and expertise to carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between these according to demand.
End-to-end accountability for a product or service, identifying and developing the most appropriate Technology solutions to meet customer needs as part of the Customer Journey
Liaise with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, to understand and drive the product or services direction.
Working with Ops, Dev and Test Engineers to ensure operational issues (performance, operator intervention, alerting, design defect related issues, etc.) are identified and addressed at all stages of a product or service release/change.
Provide support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the IT service.
Ensure service resilience, service sustainability and recovery time objectives are met for all the software solutions delivered.
Drive / lead technical forums.
Build a high performing team. Showcase increased technical as well as domain expertise capabilities for self and team.
Keep up-to-date and have expertise on current tools, technologies and areas like cyber security and regulations pertaining to aspects like data privacy, consent, data residency etc. that are applicable.
Has SAFe mind-set and adapts to agile way of working with self-organizing capabilities within a team with varying degree of experience and skills level.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
"Hands on” engineering background (13-18 years) with experience in an engineering role or leading engineering teams
Proven track record in maintaining latest technical skills
Proven ability to improve developer productivity – through automation and advanced technical skills.
Excellent at analyzing problems, brainstorming solutions, defining roles, and facilitating discussion
Good at prioritizing tasks, researching, ethical decision making, team decision making, and consensus-building
Takes ownership, and pride in delivered work
Proactive and with the stamina to operate in a fast-paced, large, transforming and matrix organization
Knowledge of Wealth and Personal Banking business; especially - private banking and wealth management
Knowledge of Scaled Agile framework, Agile methodology and must have worked in cross functional teams that are well versed with Agile and DevOps
A customer-centric mindset, understanding the importance of meeting clients needs and expectations.
Management ranging from Front Office, Middle Office to Backend processes.
DevOps Champion and should have ability to adopt latest tools and practices that ensures high quality deliverables.
Ability to learn fast and rapidly assimilate new ideas.
Understanding and awareness of the key activities required for all phases of the project life cycle.
