HSBC International Wealth and Premier Banking is our global business providing products and services such as bank accounts, credit cards, personal loans, instalment lending, mortgages and saving accounts, as well as asset management, insurance, wealth management and private banking that best suit our customers’ needs.

Our unsecured lending business has plans to significantly grow our credit card, and instalment lending business with Emerging and Mass Affluent customers. A key part of this ambition is to drive instalment lending business.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team. The role holder has primary accountability for driving Unsecured Lending revenue and balances growth by managing instalments sales & balances on HSBC credit cards.

In this role you will be:

  • Managing the entire lifecycle of instalments on credit cards for our customers – strategies & playbook, execution, internal / external stakeholders management, and P&L management.
  • Play key role to commercialize/develop/enhance digital customer journeys, throughout the customer lifecycle to deliver best in class customer experience.
  • Drive profitable instalment sales growth, focused Cash loan on cards, to accelerate instalment revenue & balances growth.
  • Design & implement strategies to achieve instalment sales targets, sustain healthy gross margins. Deploy data backed insights to identify targets & execute actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders- Policy, Data Analytics, Digital, OBTM Calling, others; to align sales efforts with instalment capabilities. Establish a close working relationship with stakeholders and delivery partners, actively managing dependencies between teams and other projects and programs.
  • Identify & lead capabilities efforts to deploy customer centric digital solutions, new product(s) opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance of relevant regulations & company policies
  • Support to x-sell/scale Personal loans to the existing book
  • Ensure Cards policies and processes are fair, compliant, customer-centric and commercially sustainable across all stages of the customer life cycle and engagement activities.
  • Own cards KPIs related to instalments
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit observations together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Graduation degree is REQUIRED – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
  • Preferably 6+ years of Banking experience in retail portfolio management, product, risk, finance, distribution or marketing functions with in-depth experience in consumer credit cards’ product and portfolio.
  • Knowledge and experience of a retail banking business in an emerging market
  • Strong analytical skills, sound understanding of Unsecured lending business particularly consumer credit cards & instalment products. Preferred good understanding of market and competition.
  • Excellent customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently & meet sales targets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, PowerPoints.
  • Good team player with excellent negotiation, influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Consultative approach to decision making
