Job Description

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring that an organization’s information systems operate efficiently and effectively. This position involves the coordination of MIS projects, managing information system resources, and liaising between different departments to ensure the alignment of MIS operations with business objectives. The MIS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation of new technologies, maintaining system efficiency, and providing technical support to users. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and an in-depth understanding of information systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing information technology environments and a proactive approach to improving system processes and outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate MIS projects and manage the day-to-day operations of information systems.
  • Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of electronic data processing systems.
  • Liaise with various departments to align systems operations with business goals.
  • Conduct system performance analysis to identify areas needing improvement.
  • Develop and implement MIS policies and procedures for organizational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and training to system users across departments.
  • Assess and recommend new software or technology to optimize business operations.
  • Monitor network infrastructure to ensure reliability and security of systems.
  • Coordinate software updates and system backups to prevent data loss.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Prepare reports on system performance and propose solutions for enhancement.
  • Manage vendor relationships to procure necessary tech resources and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an MIS or IT management role.
  • Proficient understanding of database management and information systems technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills in a tech environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on user-friendly tech support.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with accuracy and efficiency.
