Job Description

As a Purchase Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the procurement activities of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the purchasing manager and procurement team in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services that meet the company's standards and budgetary constraints. You will be required to maintain accurate records, conduct market research, and ensure that all purchasing activities adhere to company policies and procedures. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders. As part of a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of the procurement function within the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and procuring goods and services from approved vendors.
  • Support the purchasing manager in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all purchasing transactions and activities.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and price trends.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures at all times.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and other procurement-related documents.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels to identify procurement requirements timely.
  • Resolve issues related to invoicing or delivery discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Contribute to the development and management of vendor relationships.
  • Participate in regular audits and review meetings related to procurement practices.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations on procurement activities for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software applications.
  • Ability to conduct research and analyze market and price data effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
