About The Role

We are seeking a proactive IT Application Specialist with experience in maritime IT systems to support, manage, and enhance our application ecosystem. This role will focus on PAL and Vessel PAL integration, IT-related procurement processes, user support, and training for both shore-based and vessel staff. The candidate will act as the bridge between business users, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless system operations.

Key Responsibilities

Application Management & Support

• Administer and support PAL and Vessel PAL applications, ensuring smooth integration across shore and fleet operations.
• Provide first-line support for IT applications and troubleshooting system-related issues.
  
  

• Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for IT-related invoices and track budget allocations for IT applications.
• Coordinate with vendors and finance teams to ensure timely payment processing.
  
  

• Collaborate with IT and vendors to test new features, patches, and upgrades in the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) environment.
• Document test results and support deployment into production.
  
  

• Conduct user training sessions for shore-based and vessel staff on PAL and related IT applications.
• Prepare user manuals, SOPs, and training materials to enhance application adoption.
  
  

• Identify opportunities to optimize processes through application enhancements.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective IT solutions.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Maritime Studies, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with PAL, Vessel PAL integration, or maritime ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of IT procurement processes (PO creation, invoice handling).
• Familiarity with UAT testing methodologies and software deployment cycles.
