Job Description

An IT Project Manager is a crucial role within an organization, responsible for overseeing and managing technology-related projects that align with the strategic goals of the company. This position involves leading project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. IT Project Managers coordinate with diverse teams, including developers, analysts, stakeholders, and external vendors to facilitate successful project completion. Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams through the project phases from initiation to closure.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and oversee financial performance and reporting.
  • Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track project progress effectively.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings to communicate objectives and progress updates.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners for specialized project components.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to enhance project team competence.
  • Implement change management processes to accommodate project scope change requests.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, and post-project evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Proven experience managing IT projects with successful delivery in scope and on budget.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and effectively manage teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of interfacing with technical and non-technical groups.
  • Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software tools, such as Microsoft Project or JIRA.
