General Accountant (225-814)

As a General Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Process and reconcile a wide variety of accounting documents such as invoices and bank statements.
• Review and approve monthly financial reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist with budget preparation and analysis of financial reporting variances.
• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts such as general ledger accounts.
• Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and integrity of financial data.
• Assist with year-end audits and preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes with detailed and accurate reports.
• Advise staff on complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that the information is accurate and accessible when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Proven experience as a General Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle Financials.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
