We are seeking a Python Developer with hands-on experience in Teradata to design, develop, and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust Python scripts to automate data workflows, optimize data loads, and ensure data integrity in a Teradata environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) into Teradata databases.
• Design and implement efficient data load processes, including bulk inserts and updates.
• Optimize and troubleshoot Teradata SQL queries for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor, validate, and ensure the integrity of loaded data.
• Automate routine data management tasks and reporting.
• Document processes, scripts, and workflows for future reference and compliance.
  
  

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python (3.x), including libraries for data manipulation (pandas, numpy, etc.).
• Experience with Teradata SQL, utilities, and database concepts.
• Hands-on experience with data loading techniques in Teradata (e.g., FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and best practices.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments (RHEL preferred).
• Knowledge of Informatica or other ETL tools.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with scheduling tools (e.g., cron, Airflow).
  
  

Required Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, but not required.

Shift General Shift (11:30 AM - 8:30 PM IST / 1:00 AM - 10:00 AM EST / 2:00 AM - 11:00 AM EDT), Hybrid 3 days Work from Office
