Job Description

Our company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. The Electrical Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement process of electrical components and equipment, ensuring that products are purchased at the best possible price, quality, and delivery timeline. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining efficiency within the supply chain while adhering to budget constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the electrical market, have excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. This position requires a strategic thinker who can contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and develop cost-saving initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for electrical components and equipment.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Monitor and forecast electrical components’ demand to ensure timely procurement.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to manage procurement budgets effectively.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and supplier markets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in procurement processes.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain and procurement activities.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals in their development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the supply chain efficiency and performance.
  • Continuously review and improve procurement systems and processes for better outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years experience in procurement within the electrical industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supplier relations and teamwork.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory compliance requirements in procurement.
