Reporting to the Director of Finance, Altus Group is currently seeking candidates in the position of Accountant. As a member of the GSC Finance team, this role will provide accounting support to global Altus entities.

The working hours are from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in month end close procedures: Perform expense accruals for global Altus entities.to ensure accurate reporting of expenses
• Complete daily bank reconciliations: Continuously complete global bank reconciliations, coordinating with onshore accounting teams to conclude on unreconciled items
• Completing various balance sheet account reconciliations: Complete various balance sheet reconciliations, agreeing schedules to GL balance
• Manage prepaid expense balances: Set up an maintain prepaid expense balances for global Altus entities including the initial set up of amortization schedule based on invoice details
• Perform financial statement and account analysis to help ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist with various analyses to help explain variances to budget and to help accurately forecast future trends of expenses.
• Review and coding of invoices to help facilitate the accurate reporting of expenses.
• Respond to ad hoc inquiries and analytical requests.
• Assist in the ongoing improvement and automation of our processes.
• Assist with requests from auditors during the quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Ensure expenses are in compliance with company policies and procedures
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Business or accounting degree
• Chartered Accounting / ACCA qualification is an asset
• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Previous experience with Workday Financial is an asset
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Possess strong time management and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
