Job Description

The Field Service Engineer II is a pivotal role that involves providing on-site customer support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for complex equipment and systems. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a customer-focused approach to ensure optimal equipment performance and enhance customer satisfaction. As a Field Service Engineer II, you will work closely with clients to identify and resolve any issues quickly and efficiently. You will be responsible for scheduling and conducting routine maintenance, executing repairs, and providing technical guidance to customers. This role also requires documentation and reporting of all services performed, ensuring that records are accurate and up-to-date. The Field Service Engineer II serves as a key contact between the company and its clients, representing the organization with professionalism and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and maintenance for complex equipment at client sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues efficiently.
  • Schedule and conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure peak performance.
  • Coordinate with clients to facilitate maintenance and service schedules.
  • Deliver on-site training to clients on equipment usage and best practices.
  • Document service visits, repairs, and maintenance accurately for reporting purposes.
  • Maintain and update service records and customer communication logs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to escalate complex issues.
  • Order and replace parts and materials needed for equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team to improve equipment design & functionality.
  • Assist in the development of service strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company quality standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical expertise in relevant equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively as needed.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and technical software applications.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage time effectively.
