Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in compliance with regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and tools.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Work with blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Use of various hand and power tools to complete electrical projects.
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electric Code.
• Train and direct workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
• Set up and test electrical equipment and systems to ensure functionality.
• Support with ordering materials required for electrical repairs and installations.
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Valid electrician license from recognized trade bodies or authorities.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and apparatuses.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and communication skills to interact with clients.
