Job Description

An Associate in Supply Planning plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a company's supply chain. This position is essential for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the supply planning activities to optimize the production and distribution processes. The primary objective is to ensure that the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demands while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. In this role, the Associate will collaborate with various departments, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply planning strategies to optimize inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely supply chain operations.
  • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Identify potential supply risks and work on mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain and update supply planning databases and documentation accurately.
  • Collaborate with logistics to ensure efficient product distribution and delivery.
  • Forecast demand and adjust supply plans to meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare reports on supply planning activities for management review.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align supply chain activities with business goals.
  • Assist in resolving supply chain issues and responding to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain projects and process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and integrate best practices in supply planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in supply chain or planning roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritize under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience with demand forecasting and inventory management techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
