Job Description

The Associate - Fleet Operations plays a critical role in the efficient management and maintenance of a company’s vehicle fleet. This position involves coordinating vehicle maintenance schedules, managing logistical operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Associate must work closely with vendors, drivers, and other departments to ensure seamless operations. This role requires a strategic problem solver with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in fleet management or logistics, demonstrating strong analytical and communication abilities. With a focus on delivering high-quality service, the Associate will support operational efficiency and cost management while contributing to the overall success of the fleet management team.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the scheduling of vehicle maintenance and repairs effectively.
  • Monitor fleet performance metrics to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and legal regulations governing fleet operations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vehicle maintenance service providers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of fleet management policies and procedures.
  • Manage vehicle registration, licensing renewals, and insurance documentation promptly.
  • Coordinate vehicle dispatching, routing, and tracking to optimize logistics efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of fleet usage, maintenance records, and fuel consumption data.
  • Provide support and guidance to drivers and operators regarding company policies.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team for acquiring new fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Analyze fleet data to generate reports for management review and decision-making.
  • Address and resolve operational issues and emergencies promptly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in fleet management or logistics within a corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance requirements and scheduling processes.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations in fleet operations is essential.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing various stakeholders.
