Role Summary

Responsible for participating in the evolution and execution of procedures for ensuring the quality of new features and releases of software products. Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.

Key Responsibilities

Experience: 4+ years of experience

• In-depth knowledge of 4G/5G Packet Core domain
• Working experience on an Open stack based Virtualized environment and Kubernetes based containerized environment.
• Working experience on one or more of following 5G Packet Core NFs: AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, AUSF, NRF, NSSF and UDSF
• Working experience on one or more of following 4G Packet Core VNFs: MME, SAEGW, SAEGW-C, SAEGW-U, PCRF, CGNAT
• Thorough understanding of 3GPP specifications covering system architecture and procedures for the 5G Core network
• Good understanding of 3GPP specifications covering N1, N2, N3, N4, N6, N7, N8, N9, N10, N11, N12, N15, N20 and N40 Service Based Interfaces
• Good understanding of policy and charging in packet core domain
• Good understanding and working knowledge of Networking Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols Hands on experience in using test tools including but not limited to EAST, Spirent Landslide, dsTest and iXLoad
• Knowledge of message flows and parameters used in the messages for LTE/5GC procedures
• Working experience on C++, Shell and Python scripting. Should be able to independently write
• and debug shell and python scripts.
• Working experience in Python based automation frameworks like Robot Framework and pyTest.
• Proficient in C++, OOPs and Design Patterns.
• Should have good debugging skills and hands-on in using GDB, Valgrind .
• In depth knowledge of linux is added advantage.
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, YANG, CMake, Makefiles, scripting is added advantage.
• Prior experience of working in a platform/framework (provide API/functionality for applications to use) is an added advantage.
  
  

Job Requirements

The employee has to work very closely with 4G/5G testing team. Should have very strong 4G/5G knowledge and testing skills. Should have extensive experience in tools like Spirent/EAST etc. Should be flexible in working environment and team spirit.
