Senior Fire Fighting Engineer

Candidate Specification

• Have 9to 12 years of experience in FLS Engineering, in roles of increasing responsibility and project complexity.
• Well versed in reviewing and checking of drawings and calculations
• Have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of fire/smoke modelling tools such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), zone models and evacuation models an advantage.
• Must have experience of developing fire strategies to international codes of practice.
• Have working knowledge of and experience of performance-based fire engineering codes of practice internationally (such as BS 7974, NFPA 101).
• Experience of working with international codes such as British Standards, NFPA, IBC, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients, colleagues and other members of the project team.
• Must have excellent skills for report writing in English.
