QA And Test Developer For Protocol NFS And SMB

Do you work well within a team and thrive in an open, flexible, and collaborative work environment? We are seeking an experienced QA/Test developer to join our highly motivated team to contribute to the implement test framework, testing and test case automation of our enterprise solutions

Your Role And Responsibilities

As part of this role, the engineer will be working on following:

• Test Planning & Strategy
• Design and define test strategy and test plans for NFS and SMB protocol features.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
• Determine test coverage, prioritize test cases based on risk, and identify automation candidates.
• Protocol Validation: Perform functional, regression, and negative testing of NFS and SMB implementations.
• Automation Development
• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python, Shell, or frameworks like Pytest or Robot Framework.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Investigate test failures, protocol anomalies, or performance degradations
• Documentation
• Document test cases, procedures, automation workflows, and environment setup instructions.
• Provide test summary reports, bug reports with detailed logs and repro steps.
  

• 3+ years of experience in Test automation and manual testing
• 1+ in years of experience in Test of Core Protocol
• Understanding of stateless vs stateful protocols.
• Understanding of share-level and file-level permissions
• 2+ years of experience of Python for writing automation test suites, REST API interaction, and data validation
• Understanding of Pytest and/or Robot Framework
• Understanding of File I/O tools, Network tools, and Log parsing
• Understanding of Test Case Development
• Knowledge in debugging and troubleshooting on Linux environment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Maven, Git and Jenkins is preferred.
• Familiarity with Storage, data protection products, will be added advnatage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  
  

• Familiarity with NFS exports, mounts, ACLs, and Kerberos integration
• Knowledge of Active Directory integration, NTLM, Kerberos.
