Estimator - Fit-out (225-707)

As an Estimator specializing in fit-out projects, you will play a crucial role in the financial success of our construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project blueprints and specifications, estimating the costs of materials, labor, and other resources required for office, retail, and commercial fit-outs. Your expertise will guide project managers and stakeholders in budgeting, ensuring that all projects are financially viable and aligned with client expectations. The ability to provide accurate cost forecasts and detailed reports is paramount. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals, you will ensure that each project meets the desired quality standards without financial discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of fit-out projects.
• Work closely with project managers to maintain budget adherence throughout projects.
• Conduct risk assessments and present potential cost overruns to stakeholders.
• Prepare bid proposals and manage tender process with transparency and accuracy.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Develop cost-effective strategies while maintaining project quality and timeline standards.
• Regularly update cost databases and pricing lists with current market trends.
• Collaborate with design teams to optimize constructability and cost efficiency.
• Prepare and present financial reports to upper management and clients as needed.
• Ensure all estimates comply with legal, environmental, and health & safety regulations.
• Liaise with onsite managers to verify accuracy of work and material quality regularly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in estimating fit-out or construction projects.
• Proficient in estimation software such as CostX, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to produce accurate estimates.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, costs, and industry trends.
