Senior Android Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Android Engineer with deep experience in Kotlin or Java to join our Global engineering team. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable application for our trading and financial products. This is a hands-on development role and you will contribute to the architecture, performance, reliability and security of our mobile applications.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance mobile applications for Android devices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Product, DevOps, Testing, Compliance, Operations and Business development
- Drive the roadmap for Android application development for new products from concept to scaling up
- Write clean, maintainable, scalable and testable code
- Incorporate testing into code to ensure stability, reliability and effective handling of edge cases
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, scalability and reliability issues
- 5+ years of experience designing, building and deploying Android applications in production environments
- Strong experience in Kotlin or Java for building mobile applications
- Deep understanding of the Android framework and avenues for performance optimisation
- Experience in integrating analytics tools
- Experience with incorporating security best practices in Android applications
- Strong communication, collaboration skills; Familiarity with Agile workflows
- Familiarity with Jetpack, Retrofit, OkHttp, React JS or Java / Spring Boot is a plus
- Experience with integrating websockets
