Job Description

The Technical Project Manager is a critical role at the intersection of technology and business operations, tasked with overseeing and driving complex projects to successful completion. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, people skills, and project management acumen to ensure projects are aligned with business goals and delivered on time and within budget. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and stakeholders, to define project plans, manage resources, and mitigate risks. This role also involves leading project meetings, reporting on progress, and ensuring that all phases of assigned projects adhere to established standards and guidelines. Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate and lead project team meetings to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams effectively.
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Manage resource allocation and negotiate with departmental managers for required resources.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance project efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and project management best practices.
  • Ensure all documentation and project artifacts are completed and archived appropriately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a technical environment.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other relevant project management methodologies.
  • PMP, PMP-ACP, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for team and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in risk management and strategic planning is an advantage.
