Job Description

The Inventory Executive plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of a company’s inventory. This position involves maintaining the proper balance of stock, ensuring the availability of materials, and optimizing warehouse operations. The Inventory Executive is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various inventory processes, including tracking inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring the quality of inventory storage. A keen eye for detail is necessary to monitor inventory movement effectively, reduce waste, and prevent overstock or stockouts. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in inventory management software, and collaboration with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accuracy in all inventory-related operations and decisions.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels and manage sample testing for product quality assurance.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate and supervise regular physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of inventory transactions and movement within the system.
  • Coordinate regularly with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory supplies.
  • Conduct inventory audits to determine the causes of inventory variances.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track orders, inventory levels, and forecasts.
  • Prepare and present inventory performance reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Implement strategies to optimize inventory storage and reduce holding costs.
  • Oversee inventory staff and provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Assist in developing budgets related to inventory procurement and storage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
