Job Description

A Sales Advisor plays a pivotal role in the success of any company's sales force. They are responsible for understanding customer needs and offering solutions and products that are best suited to meet those needs. Sales Advisors build and maintain relationships with customers, ensuring they have a positive experience while guiding them through the purchase process. They work in coordination with other members of the sales team and report to sales managers. A strong sense of customer service, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of the company’s products and services are essential in this role. Sales Advisors are goal-oriented, motivated to achieve targets, and eager to assist customers in obtaining the best value out of their purchases.


Responsibilities

  • Understand and assess the needs of customers to provide suitable product recommendations.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Achieve individual and team-based sales targets consistently through effective selling techniques.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to offer reliable information.
  • Coordinate with the sales team to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Facilitate product demonstrations and participate in promotional events as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer information in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and guide junior sales staff to enhance team performance and development.
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor activities to identify potential sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sales advisor or similar customer service role.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work towards achieving sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales-related applications.
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in managing sales activities.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Marketing or Business is a plus.
