Job Description

A Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in the smooth and efficient operation of a kitchen. Responsibilities

  • Assist with portion control and plate presentation for customer orders.
  • Ensure the kitchen's health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Fill in and assist in other kitchen duties as needed or requested by the supervisor.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages of supplies to the kitchen manager.
  • Ensure rapid and accurate restocking of items during peak hours of operation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to follow directions and adhere to operating procedures and policies.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage tasks in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina is required to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety protocols is beneficial.
